<dcterms:abstract>This resource contains the complete Delft3D Flexible Mesh (DFM) input files for the nine numerical experiments reported in Jean Louis et al. (2026), "The role of seasonal vegetation dynamics in shaping river delta channel networks and morphodynamics," Geomorphology 506, 110327 (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.geomorph.2026.110327). The model simulates the initial formation of a river delta in an idealized Cartesian basin with cell sizes of 25–50 m, loosely representing the Wax Lake Delta, Louisiana, USA. A river channel debouches into a receiving basin over an erodible bed of 20 m of sediment mixed at a mud-to-sand ratio of 0.30:0.70. The downstream water level is held at zero, and no tides or waves are applied. With a morphological acceleration factor of 10, the 365-day hydrodynamic simulation corresponds to ten years of morphological evolution. Vegetation is represented statically through the Baptist et al. (2007) roughness formulation, activated in the MDU and supplied with spatially uniform, temporally constant fields of 40 stems m⁻², 0.01 m stem diameter, and 0.3 m stem height inside a polygon covering the marsh platform. The no-vegetation deck differs by a single line — Vegetationmodelnr — with all other input files byte-identical, so the vegetation effect is isolated and independently verifiable. The dynamic vegetation runs are a product of DFM coupled with NBSDynamics (https://github.com/Deltares-research/NBSDynamics). Each scenario folder holds the grid, bathymetry, boundary conditions, sediment and morphology configuration, vegetation polygon and forcing file, and a relative-path DIMR configuration. Runs used the D-Flow FM kernel 1.2.104.67016M. Model output is not included.</dcterms:abstract>
